The addition of a foot to a bowl kicks the piece up a notch. Where the foot begins and how tall it is can literally take the piece up a notch - visually and actually. Previously we looked at some Rule of Thumb Foot to Diameter Ratios. Here's another approach based on the outside curve - and then the inside curve of the bowl. Oh - and how about blending the foot to the curve of the bowl.
